Basra plays an important role in assisting with the development of local economies and by improving the standards of living for the people of Indonesia. As part of making a valuable contribution as community members, we strive for meaningful long-term actions that generate lasting improvements for all. We employ and invite our community to join us as volunteers to provide a wide array of special activities.
Through collaboration, we identify social needs for communities in and strive to provide resources through which we can create a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. We then partner with like-minded individuals and or organisations to conduct community projects, using an effective and consistent process to monitor progress and overall performance. ORPHANAGE OPENING 2014
…During the process of conducting this activity, this opportunity gave us chance to brighten the lives of some special children, all of whom we will never forget!”
Providing assistance for Indonesian orphans is one of the activities that Yamaha has facilitated over the past 8 years. In 2014 PT Surya Timur Sakti Jatim managed to hold a fasting event with over 10,000 orphans across all sales locations, namely Surabaya, Malang and Jember. When entering the Eid homecoming season, PT STSJ also provides a fleet of busses, which will deliver travelers to many cities throughout East Java for free.

TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP
Yamaha Engineering School (YES) training provides free technical training in Automotive / Natural Science for those with an interest in the automotive industry. Registration in Surabaya will open June 2, 2018 to June 29, 2018.
Yamaha Engineering School (YES) Surabaya has entered its 11th term. The course duration is 4.5 months (1 month theory, 1.5 months practice, 2 months internship). YES students will be equipped with theory, practice, and an apprenticeship at Yamaha Service Shop (YSS). Students will also given free tuition, uniforms, textbooks and a graduate certificate.
Yamaha Engineering School (YES) training is fully supported by Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (PT YIMM) Jakarta. Yamaha Engineering School (YES) will also be opened in fourteen other major cities throughout Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Bali, Jambi, Surabaya, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang, Lampung, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Pontianak. This year the Yamaha Engineering School (YES) training in Surabaya will receive 30 students. Interested? Apply now!
