North Surabaya's home for flavour, culture & play

Dupak 36 is an open-air communal space of over half a hectare at Jl. Raya Dupak No. 36, in the Bubutan district of Surabaya. It was built as one address where a neighbourhood can eat, gather and play — a village of culinary tenants wrapped around open lawn, a mini amphitheatre, and a floodlit sports pitch, rather than a single operator behind one counter.

Sitting in the middle of a dense residential area, the site is laid out around how people actually use it: generous open space, organised circulation, shaded lawn, and parking for 100 motorcycles and 30 cars. Families come for dinner and let their children run on the grass. Students and communities book the pitch and the stage. Companies run gatherings and outbound days on the same ground. Indoor and outdoor seating together holds around 250 people, and more than 5,000 visitors pass through each month.

The ambition is bigger than a food court. By backing local UMKM tenants and hosting bazaars, culinary festivals and arts performances, Dupak 36 aims to lift the economy around it and become a new landmark for this part of Surabaya.

Est.2025
"One address, three experiences — taste, create, and play."

Three experiences under one roof

Dupak 36 is built around three connected zones — come for the food, stay for the culture and the game.

Culinary

A village of independent kitchens, not a single operator. Anchor tenants run full 6 × 7 m units with their own private kitchen and dedicated indoor and outdoor dining; smaller regular tenants ring the shared lawn and amphitheatre. The line-up is built around local UMKM food and drink businesses, and the site seats roughly 250 people indoors and out.

Arts

At the centre of the site is a mini amphitheatre — a round open stage ringed by tiered concrete seating — used for live acoustic sets, pentas seni and community nights. Beside it stands Rush Hour, a sculpture by Nyoman Nuarta. The same ground hosts intimate weddings, UMKM bazaars, corporate and community gatherings, and birthdays.

Sports

A synthetic-turf mini soccer pitch sits at one end of the grounds, fully enclosed in netting and floodlit for night play, so games run well past sunset while the food tenants stay open. It faces straight onto the lawn and the amphitheatre — supporters watch from where they're eating. The open lawn and playground round out the family side of the site.
